$21 Million To Help Combat Opioid Abuse In Arizona

As more Americans were being prescribed painkillers and related meds, addiction grew and an epidemic has emerged. Earlier this week, the White House announced plans to provide $1.1 billion to fight opioid abuse—including prescriptions and heroin. Arizona will receive $21 million under the plan.

To get more insight on what Arizona can do with the additional funding, we talked with Andrew LeFevre, executive director of the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission.
