This weekend in the McDowell Mountains, ultrarunners will race for 100 kilometers – just more than 62 miles – in a run called the Javelina Jundred.

One of those runners is Mirna Valerio, who lives in Georgia and has a blog called Fat Girl Running. She has been training for some time, and as her blog title suggests, she doesn’t have a stereotypical runner’s body, but she races these incredible distances.
