When they’re on the field or court, professional athletes make great plays, commit penalties, and sometimes completely lose their cool. A huge percentage of the games are televised, so they expect their best and worst behavior to end up on ESPN or another national network.

But what about younger athletes in high school? How do the cameras or smartphones affect how they behave?

We spoke to Derrick Martin, a lecturer in the Sport and Society Program at the University of Arizona.

We wanted to find out if schools have specific policies when it comes to preparing young athletes for the intensity of a game and the extra attention they could get from fans in the stands.
