If you live in the Phoenix area long enough, this will most likely happen to you: you’re driving along, and all of a sudden, you hear it — a dull thud. A rock that’s been kicked up from somewhere flew through the air and dinged your windshield.

The bad news when you need a new windshield is you need a new windshield. The good news is it won’t cost you anything to get it. In addition to the high temperatures and road construction, there are just more cars on the road across the country, which also leads to more cracked windshields and more glass claims.
