The company formerly known as Weight Watchers has rolled out a new app aimed at kids.

Called Kurbo, the app will help children track what they eat, how much they exercise and how much weight they lose. It’ll use what’s known as the “traffic light system,” dividing foods into red, yellow and green categories, depending on how healthy they are and how frequently kids should be eating them.

But the app has led to criticism from some who argue it could be dangerous to kids, creating bad relationships with food.

To talk more about this, The Show spoke with Angela Lemond, a registered dietitian nutritionist and a national spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
