In the wake of the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Arizona’s governor has rolled out a plan meant to prevent similar incidents here. The plan includes new measures to keep guns from dangerous people and more money for mental health and public safety in schools. KJZZ’s Will Stone was at the governor’s office covering the release.

The Institute for American Indian Arts created the country’s first indigenous MFA program in 2012, and today, it’s turning out writers who are at the helm of what seems to be a new wave of indigenous literature.
