The website Backpage.com settled a sex trafficking lawsuit brought by three girls. They had alleged the “escort” section of the site made it possible for them to be sold for sex. We learned more about the settlement from Dominique Roe-Sepowitz, Associate Professor in the ASU School of Social Work and director of the Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research.
